XPS sandwich panels are composite panels made of extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam as the core material, bonded with metal facings (such as color-coated steel or aluminum sheets) or non-metal facings (e.g., fiber cement boards). Excellent thermal insulation: Low thermal conductivity (0.028–0.034 W/(m·K)), superior to EPS (expanded polystyrene foam).
High compressive strength: Ranges from 150 to 700 kPa, suitable for load-bearing applications.

XPS sandwich panels are ideal for applications requiring thermal insulation, moisture resistance, and high strength, such as cold storage and high-standard industrial plants. However, fire safety must be considered. If budget is limited and fire resistance is not critical, EPS panels may suffice. For Class A fireproofing, rock wool or PUR panels are better options.
